I had been hesitating for quite some time to buy a Remarkable because of the price and after I ordered the basic version I was fairly convinced until I wanted to work with it in the evening. Without backlight it doesn't work at all and so I considered making a more expensive investment in the Remarkable2 (with backlight). The moment I started working with it, I was totally sold; a screen that is easy to read and edit, even in the dark. Precisely because you can't view websites, receive e-mail etc. with it, the Remarkable2 is ideal for me; distraction-free work. No hassle with pop-ups that suddenly appear or insistent tones that want you to look at something else, but just a very simple device on which you can only take notes. Fantastic! Previously I did this on my iPad (with Apple Pen) but I still wasn't sure which app suited me best in terms of processing handwritten notes, page formats etc. If I had made this investment earlier, it would have cost me a lot of money that I spent on all kinds of templates for the iPad (which weren't quite right).
