The Acer Nitro V 15 ANV15 is a 15-inch entry-level gaming laptop that lets me play medium-demand games smoothly in full HD. I play most games without stuttering at a minimum of 60 frames per second. The laptop also has a nice backlit keyboard. However, I do find the fans a bit noisy after a while.
Powerful NVIDIA RTX 5000 graphics card
The Acer Nitro V has an NVIDIA RTX 5050 graphics card. The laptop easily handles medium-demand games. I play Minecraft smoothly at 60 to 100 frames per second on the highest settings. For a game with more detail, like Train Sim World 5, I do need DLSS support. I notice the frame rate drop, especially with fast movements. With DLSS enabled, the frame rate stays smoothly at 60. I'm also trying out another game with vibrant graphics, South of Midnight. I play this game smoothly at 60 frames per second in full HD with DLSS enabled.
Gaming look with RGB illuminated keyboard
The RGB illuminated keyboard gives the Acer Nitro a nice gaming look. During startup, I see the laptop light up orange, which I think complements the black design nicely. I easily adjust the keyboard colors using Acer NitroSense. I do this, for example, when I want to play a different game.
Good ventilation
The top of the laptop stays nice and cool while gaming. This is thanks to the extra fan above the keyboard. However, I find the laptop quite noisy. I also adjust the fan speed using NitroSense. For testing, I set it to maximum, and the noise is clearly audible. The advantage is that the laptop stays well-cooled while gaming. I also feel little heat on the sides and bottom. This is good ventilation for an entry-level gaming laptop.
