HyperX QuadCast 2 USB Microphone Frost

Great microphone that picks up my (somewhat deeper) voice well, unlike some other microphones. The included stand will offer sufficient options for most users. The microphone's lighting (red only) consists of two zones (top and bottom) that can be individually adjusted with the free downloadable software.

However, this software must be activated during PC startup to retain the previously applied settings; otherwise, the settings reset to the microphone's out-of-box settings (until the software is restarted). However, this isn't really a problem, as the software runs smoothly in the background.

Although I don't have experience with the previous version of the HyperX QuadCast, I highly recommend this version.

Great microphone for everyday gaming; you are clearly audible, and for someone who uses headsets without a microphone, this is a good solution. Setup is quite simple; no software is needed. The option is there, but I don't use it myself.

Features Simple mute button on top; the lighting turns off, a handy indicator of whether voice is on. By holding down the middle button, you can easily adjust the microphone's pickup area. This is visible at the top, where it shows a 1/4 circle, 2/4, or a full circle to indicate where you should speak into the microphone.

Mounting the microphone is easy; a stand is included as standard. Furthermore, there is a convenient option to mount it on an arm. Note that the microphone is on the heavy side; some arms have trouble holding it up. Furthermore, it screws onto just about anything.

Quality remains to be seen; the previous model lasted 1 year before stopping working, and the mini version had a similar problem.
