The JBL Quantum 250 is a great gaming headset that's comfortable and easy to use. The headset feels sturdy, has clear sound, and does what you expect. I find the earcups a bit firm, but after a long gaming session, this doesn't bother me anymore.
Easy setup
When I take the gaming headset out of the box, I see the headset, a detachable microphone with a pop filter, a 3.5mm cable, and a quick start guide. This guide tells me which end of the cable goes into the headset. Because the headset is plug and play, it works immediately. I plug the audio cable into my PlayStation controller, and the headset works right away.
Comfort
What immediately strikes me about the headset is the headband. It's very comfortable. Thanks to its special design, I barely feel the headband, making the headset comfortable. It's also very lightweight. The fabric earcups are convenient for long gaming sessions because they breathe better than leather earcups. I do find these ear cushions a bit firm when I first put the headset on. But this will soften over time. After a long gaming session, this isn't an issue anymore.
Good audio quality
I tested the headset with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and It Takes Two. This headset sounds very good during both games. The in-game sound is clear, and my teammates are also clearly audible. The headset's microphone is also clear. The noise cancellation could be better, but according to my teammates, it's not bothersome. I easily adjust the volume with the scroll wheel on the back of the headset. I can also easily mute myself using the button on the back of the headset.
