According to our gaming headset expert
You can experience the best in-game audio with the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 - White. You can wirelessly connect this headset to your PC via the USB-C dongle. This way, you're not bothered by cables while you're gaming. The Nova Acoustic System allows you to enjoy clear treble and a deep bass, so you have the best in-game audio. With surround sound, you hear all the game audio 360 degrees around you and you know exactly where your opponents are coming from. That way, you're always one step ahead of your opponents. You can also communicate online without background noise thanks to the noise suppression in the microphone. As a result, your message always comes across clearly.
Note: this gaming headset is made for PC, but you can also use it wirelessly on the PlayStation.

After years of enjoying the Gen 1 Arctis Nova 7, I had to buy a Gen 2. The quality is a step down, but the comfort is an improvement.
Sonar is an option to enhance your immersion while gaming. It's the built-in version of 7.1 surround sound. A fantastic piece of software.
The biggest drawback is that for this price, you'd expect a better microphone. It's truly awful. If you don't have a standalone microphone, avoid this device. You're not doing your friends any favors.
The worst part is a high-pitched squeal in the right earcup. I don't know exactly what's causing it. Sometimes it goes away on its own, sometimes I have to turn on Bluetooth and it goes away temporarily. Other times, it comes back. Whether I use the headphones wirelessly or wired, this high-pitched squeal keeps recurring. If you don't have music playing, it's very noticeable and incredibly annoying. After Googling, it turns out this is a problem everywhere. It's a device-specific issue.
I would never buy these headphones again just for the high-pitched sound. Unfortunately, I threw the packaging away the same day, and now I'm stuck with them.

First of all, I previously purchased this product through Coolblue, and Steelseries gave me a completely free replacement after reading my review. Fantastic. I was contacted by a Coolblue representative, who arranged it for me. I've never experienced anything like it. I was truly speechless. I have nothing but praise for Coolblue and Steelseries regarding their service.
But then. The product itself. Even with the new product, I have the same complaint: a high-pitched buzzing noise in the right earcup. However, this only occurs when I use the product wirelessly for a while. Once the battery reaches 70%-50%, the buzzing gradually returns and becomes increasingly louder.
When I connect the product to my PC via USB-C, the sound disappears. Possibly the battery?
Other than that, fantastic design, great sound, extremely comfortable. Definitely recommended. If you mainly use the headset wired, it's a great experience. The only downside is the microphone. It's bizarrely poor quality. Luckily, I don't have a problem with that myself, because I only use it for sidetone. I have a separate microphone for my input needs.
So keep that in mind.
