A versatile and user-friendly multicooker

Very versatile
User-friendly
Hands-off cooking
Quite big and heavy

I've been using the Moulinex CE97GU Multicooker for a while now, and honestly, I didn't expect it to be used so often. It's become one of those appliances that makes you think: why didn't I have this before?

What I particularly appreciate is its versatility. Rice, stews, curries, soup, pulled chicken... it all works without constantly having to be there. You just throw in the ingredients, select the right program, and you're done. Especially on busy days, that's a real relief. The meat comes out surprisingly tender, and the flavors have plenty of time to develop.

It's also very user-friendly. The display is clear, the programs are logically structured, and after a few uses, you'll know exactly what to choose. Cleaning is also a breeze, as the inner pot is dishwasher safe.

But it's not all roses and moonlight. The appliance is quite large and quite heavy. You don't just quickly put this in a kitchen cupboard and then take it out again. In our case, it has a permanent spot on the countertop, simply because moving it isn't very convenient. If you have a small kitchen, that's something to keep in mind.

Also, it sometimes takes some experimenting with cooking times, especially if you adapt recipes yourself. The standard programs are good, but cooking is still a bit of a feeling.

All in all, I'm really satisfied. It's not a gadget that collects dust, but an appliance you use effectively. If you enjoy cooking but don't always have the time or inclination to be constantly at it, this multicooker is a great addition. Provided you have the space, of course.

Everything works in one pot, without any hassle.

versatile
via app

Since I started using this Moulinex multicooker, I've been telling practically every friend who loves to cook about it. Cooking has become much easier and more relaxing for me. I was a bit skeptical at first, because other kitchen appliances here often went unused after a while, but this multicooker is on almost every day. It's especially ideal on busy workdays: add the ingredients, select a program, and then I can do something else. What surprised me most, and which I immediately told my friend, is how reliable the results are. Stews, soups, and rice turn out perfectly every time without any adjustments. That wasn't always the case with other multicookers I've tried. This appliance feels intuitive and quickly inspires confidence. I mainly use the My Moulinex app for inspiration. I don't follow every recipe to the letter, but I've already discovered several dishes that have become staples. The clear steps on the display make cooking extra easy. The air fry function is also a pleasant surprise. Fries, vegetables, and chicken turn out nice and crispy, making a separate air fryer virtually unnecessary. Thanks to the time savings and the handy keep-warm function, this appliance has really become a regular helper in the kitchen.
