Soundcore Sleep A30 Green

After my A20 earbuds stopped working properly (after several years of daily use), I decided to go for the upgrade and purchase the A30. If you are hesitating between the A30 and the A20, I would definitely go for the A30. However, I must say that the ANC is not fantastic. Just like with the A20, I feel that most of the noise cancellation comes from the eartips. An advantage of the A30 in this regard is that memory foam eartips are included for extra noise cancellation. And regarding the fit/comfort, I can only say that you need to give it some time to get used to them. It is also good to know that you definitely cannot use these earbuds as ‘standard’ earbuds for making calls, for example. They do not have a built-in microphone. And finally, another advantage of the A30 over the A20 is the extensive audio library. This also includes (English) sleep meditations and sleep stories to help you fall asleep. The earbuds automatically switch to white noise (or 1001 similar sounds that you can configure yourself) as soon as you have fallen asleep.

The ear tips are an upgrade compared to the A20. They don't go as deep and are therefore less painful, although my ear does get sensitive after a while. I'm a side sleeper with a firm pillow, so I take them out after 2 hours.

They do seal better, and the ANC is also an improvement over the A20. Especially with music playing softly, I hear almost nothing from my neighbors anymore (stomping, loud talking). And that was the intention. Previously, I had to turn the music up louder.

They also seem to pair better with my phone, faster. I used to have trouble with that with the A20 as well.

In short, if you are hesitating between the A20 and A30, and you can get a good deal, buy the 30!

The Active Noise Reduction works minimally. I can barely tell the difference between ANC on and off. That's to be expected for this price.
