Description

With the Makita DLX2537TJ combi set, you get 2 machines that you can drill and drive screws with. The set contains an impact drill, impact screwdriver, 2 batteries of 5.0Ah, a battery charger, and an Mbox. With the impact drill, you can make holes of 13mm in stone. You can also drive screws with a maximum torque of 50 newton-meter. The impact screwdriver has an extra high maximum torque of 170 newton-meter, so you can use it for more demanding screwdriving jobs. Complete quality set. Decent devices.

(Almost) all DIY tools in one
Sawing, drilling,... in an instant
Battery: you can keep working without always having to look at battery status
Too few accessories included (annoying!)

Very satisfied with this set. Let me start with the batteries. 3 Batteries seems little for 6 different devices, but in the experience they last a very long time. I can easily work a full day without the batteries being empty (in practice it is rare that they are on 2 (out of 4) bars. The charger has an active cooling that makes quite a lot of noise, but in practice it is this is not disturbing, it is a fast charger: the battery is usually full after an hour.

Impact driver DTD152: I have used the most so far. High torque makes screwdriving a breeze, even in the hardest material. Sometimes the torque is even too high: I've already broken the head of the screw a few times (strong screws are a must.)
Cordless drill DDF482: nothing but praise here too. Strong tools; drilling is a pleasure. The only comment I can make is that there is no knock function (but for that you have the combi hammer that is included in the set.)
Combi hammer DHR202: not used very much yet, but satisfied with it. Drilling holes in stone or concrete is a cinch. Please note, this one uses SDS-plus drills that are not included and which I had to buy separately (see below.)
Circular saw DSS610: only one saw blade is included, but I have already been able to do everything with it. Clean cut, no fraying. A pleasure to cut even thicker wood down to the millimeter. Really great.
Reciprocating saw DJR186: used only once. Cuts like butter.
Multitool DTM51: not yet used because the accessories are not included in the set (see below.)

Overall very satisfied, but I have to get something off my chest. Why Makita doesn't include a few accessories for each device is a mystery to me. This cannot be such a big saving and the annoying thing is that you have a nice set at home but can't actually do anything with it if you don't already have the accessories yourself. The combihammer uses SDS plus drills which I don't think all hobbyists will already have in their house (I didn't have them anyway); of the multi-tool it is not entirely clear which accessories are compatible with it. That's annoying!
