reMarkable Paper Pure with Sleeve Blue

Nice device, works smoothly, writes very pleasantly.

It is quite an investment, but to stop using separate notebooks for every activity in my life (work, courses, moving, etc.) and to be able to store things digitally, I bought this one anyway. And when studying, it is still important (for me) to actually write (not type); my learning impact is better that way.

I still found the Paper Pro a bit too expensive.

But once I started working on the Paper Pure, I discovered how well it aligns with my goal, although I did miss color on my screen to maintain an overview of the various documents. So I tried the Paper Pro as well, and now I've discovered that the large one is also much less 'too big' to carry around than I thought. An advantage of the Pro is that the paper you write on is larger. So, more overview in your notes. And you can also quickly create a table, or indicate something with arrows, etc. (which is also possible on the Pure). The color certainly helps with that too, also to maintain an overview.

In short, I swapped the Pure for the Pro. Yes, it is more expensive, but the experience is definitely worth it. In short, I have become a Remarkable user, but still of the Pro.

I hesitated for a long time about whether to buy a Remarkable. It still feels like a gimmick. But after trying everything to take digital notes, including everyone's favorite fruit with a stylus and a special screen protector, none of it was that.

The Remarkable comes eerily close to real paper. The e-paper screen ensures you don't feel like you're looking at a screen. The handwriting recognition works pretty well, even with my messy handwriting.
