Philips Compact Shaver 500 S591/05

I have been using the Philips Compact Shaver 591/S for a few weeks now and am very happy with it so far.

The device lives up to its name because it is indeed compact, making it very easy to take with you when you are on the go. It even fits in your trouser pocket. I find it particularly handy for short trips or business trips when you don't want to bring your large electric shaver or razor with shaving foam.

The device is lightweight, very easy to use, and fits well in the hand. It feels comfortable when you shave without irritation, makes hardly any noise, and works great in hard-to-reach places.

I am also satisfied with the battery life; after one full charge, I was able to shave eight times.

Keep in mind that it has its own charging cable (unfortunately not a USB-C connection as is common these days) and does not come with a plug.

It does not replace a razor or a standard electric shaver, but all in all, I am satisfied with it. I therefore definitely recommend this shaver to people who travel a lot.

I have been using the Philips Compact Shaver 500 S591/05 for about two weeks now. I normally use a trimmer, and I use this Philips mainly to give my face a neat touch-up. I have used it several times by now, and my initial positive impression has essentially remained the same.

The shaving result is good. I do sometimes have to go over the same spot a few times to catch all the hairs, but ultimately I get a neat and smooth result. My skin also reacts well to it. So far, I haven't experienced any irritation in the areas where I use it.

The device fits comfortably in the hand. Due to its shape, you hold it slightly differently than a normal trimmer or a standard shaver, but you get used to that quickly. I find the noise level to be average. It naturally makes noise, but I don't find it bothersome.

What I particularly like is the compact size. It is really small, making it easy to store and take with you. This seems ideal for a vacation or a weekend getaway. You can easily tuck it away among your belongings without it taking up much space. I haven't been able to test it myself during a trip yet, so I can't share any experience regarding that.

Cleaning is also simple. After use, you can easily clean it under the tap. Personally, I don't find the USB charging cable to be a problem, because I already have a suitable USB charger myself. If you don't have one, you should take into account purchasing one.

For now, I am satisfied with the Philips Compact Shaver 500. The compact size and ease of use, in particular, make it a handy device for touch-ups. I cannot make a reliable statement about the battery life yet, because I haven't been using the device long enough to do so.

I am incredibly happy with it. I think it's really great that you can dry shave.

Shaving your legs always takes so long, and with this device, you're done in no time. You do have to go over it a few times before it's completely gone, but it's still easier and faster than shaving and cheaper than laser. And it's especially handy to take with you on vacation. I haven't been able to test the battery yet; I haven't used it that much.

But it is super easy to clean and disassemble, and it comes with a handy brush that makes cleaning it easy.
