Sony INZONE H6 AIR Gaming Headset PS4/5 and PC Black

I've spent over 15K on headsets and headphones. Only a handful were truly excellent, and even those always had one or more downsides: fatiguing tonality, insufficient or too much bass, overly forward mids or treble, stiff cables with strong cable memory and or cable noise transmitted when rubbing against my clothes, or comfort issues like too small ear cups, pressure points, to loose, etc. My search for an open back headset (with mic) with exceptional bass, mid and treble in concert continued for more than 8 years. Then I found this one. What finally convinced me was the almost unanimous enthusiasm for it from nearly every headphone reviewer I follow, and I have absolutely no regrets. For my hearing, ears and head shape, this headset offers the best overall balance of any open headphone or headset I've ever owned, for music, gaming, and movies. My search is over!

After trading in my SteelSeries Arctis 7p Gen 2 for this Sony, I was very satisfied. The SteelSeries hurt my ears. This one, however, is so light and comfortable that you barely feel it. It also feels very high-quality in terms of build quality. The microphone is somewhat sensitive but can handle very high volume; I also hear from people in the party that the sound from the mic is good. The aux cable is quite long for PlayStation users who plug it into the controller, but this might be nice for a PC gamer.

What immediately stands out when you put on the Sony INZONE H6 Air is how little you actually feel it. It is so light that you almost forget you are wearing a headset. That is really relaxing during gaming, especially if you have long sessions. The sound is spacious and clear; you hear many details that you normally quickly miss. This really comes into its own, especially in story games. The microphone is fine for voice chat—nothing special, but clear enough. A downside is the open design, which means you can still hear everything around you and they can hear you too. And you are simply tethered to a cable.
