Hisense PT1 (2026)

The Hisense PT1 (2026) is a great projector that offers tremendous value for money, especially compared to other models in this price range. The image is razor-sharp, even when projecting directly onto a white wall. The sound is also impressive: voices, in particular, sound clear and full, quickly giving you the feeling that you are in a cinema. You can use the projector perfectly well during the day, as long as you don't expect miracles from HDR. For normal use, the brightness is sufficient, but during the day, HDR simply lacks the brightness and contrast to really impress. In a darkened room, however, HDR truly comes into its own. Gaming is therefore a joy: Call of Duty in HDR, with all the lights off, delivers a particularly impressive experience. A minor drawback is that automatic angle correction is only available in combination with a projection screen. Without a screen, you therefore have to straighten the image yourself. The biggest disappointment, however, is the quality control. This is my third unit, and only now am I completely satisfied. With the first projector, the right speaker suffered from a rattling sound at certain frequencies. This did not happen constantly, but was clearly audible at times. The second unit had purple spots in the projection, especially with light images and white backgrounds. After consulting with Hisense, I exchanged this projector as well. Fortunately, the third unit seems to be completely fine: the sound is good, the image is sharp, and so far I have not discovered any similar problems. My conclusion: in terms of image quality, sound, and value for money, the Hisense PT1 is an excellent projector. You can also use it perfectly well during the day, but for the best HDR experience, it is better to darken the room. It is just a pity that you might need a bit of luck with the quality control. Frankly, I find needing three units to get a trouble-free device to be too much. That being said, I must say that I am quite critical of these kinds of details. It is therefore quite possible that someone else might not even notice certain deviations. Nevertheless, I recommend thoroughly checking your projector for image defects and unwanted noises after purchase. All in all, it is a fantastic projector if you find a good unit, but the quality control clearly needs improvement.
