The Marshall Stanmore IV is a musical and stylish addition to my home. The speaker delivers crystal-clear sound, making voices and instruments sound realistic. I find it a pity that I hear sharp sounds in some songs.

Clear and powerful sound The sound is crystal clear. High tones of vocals and instruments sound so clear that it feels like I am hearing it live. I hear every detail in the background music, making the music sound realistic. Thanks to the solid bass tones, I can hear the beat clearly. This makes me enjoy rap and house music even more. The speaker delivers incredibly powerful sound. With this, I can hear the music well in my living room and open kitchen. The sound does not lose quality when I turn the volume up high. Unfortunately, the sibilant sounds in some songs are sharp, which makes for unpleasant listening.

Chic design The Stanmore IV speaker also features a classic design, like all Marshall speakers. The plastic sides and gold details give it a chic look. Because of this, I consider it a musical and stylish addition to my living room. With the rotary knobs on the top, I can easily adjust the volume, bass strength, and treble. I use the M button for Spotify Tap. This allows it to play recommended music. I find this handy when I’ve grown tired of the playlists I often play. You can customize the action of the M button in the app.

Extensive app

There are many possibilities in the Marshall app. For instance, I choose the sound from 5 presets or adjust the sound completely to my liking. With Placement Compensation, I indicate whether the speaker is close to a wall or on the edge of a surface. The speaker then adjusts the sound based on its position. Furthermore, I customize the action of the M button. I choose between Spotify Tap, switching between equalizer modes, or selecting no action. I like the Spotify Tap function because it gets suggested songs that I haven't heard often. Finally, I set a standby timer and adjust the brightness of the lights on the speaker in the app.
