Lenovo 6550 Wireless Office Headset

With the Lenovo 6550 Wireless Office Headset, I participate in online meetings, am clearly audible, and am hardly bothered by ambient noise. This office headset is not foldable, which makes it a bit less convenient to take with me.

First Impression The headphones come in a neat storage pouch, but they are not foldable. Fortunately, the headset isn't very large, so I can still take it with me easily. In the box, I also find a USB-C dongle, a charging cable, and some booklets. The ear cushions and headband feel fine and sit comfortably on my ears. I wear earrings, but I don't feel them. I can easily adjust the headband until it fits to my liking. I feel my ears getting a bit warmer when I wear the headset for a long time, but I don't find this bothersome.

Quick Connection and Adjusting Settings I plug the USB-C dongle into my laptop and turn on the headphones. The headset connects immediately. I adjust the volume and the level of noise cancellation using the physical buttons on the headphones or via the Lenovo Accessories and Display Manager software. When I listen to music and press the noise cancelling button, my music pauses. If I hold the noise cancelling button down longer, I quickly switch between 3 different levels. When the noise cancelling is fully on, I hear no background noise. I do hear loud sounds, though. This is due to the on-ear design. An over-ear headset dampens sounds better.

Ideal for online meetings I enjoy using this headset while working. My colleagues hear me clearly thanks to the good noise cancellation in the microphone. When I am not using the microphone, I can easily flip it up. When I do this, the mute function switches on automatically. This allows me to discreetly say a quick word to a colleague sitting next to me during an online meeting. Once I am back in my meeting, others can see that they should not disturb me thanks to the handy in-call indicator light. Using the dedicated Microsoft Teams button, I can immediately answer an incoming call or open the Microsoft Teams software on my laptop. Long battery life I listen to music for up to 60 hours and make calls for up to 30 hours before recharging the headset. I do this using the included USB-C cable. There is no adapter included, so I use my laptop to charge this office headset.
