The Miele WEB 368 WCS is a fast, sturdy and energy-efficient washing machine. The build quality is top notch and the PowerWash function immediately saves me a lot of time. The washing machine is also relatively quiet, so I can easily have a video conference while working from home. I do miss the TwinDos system, which means I have to dose detergent by hand.
First impression
The first thing I notice about the Miele WEG 368 WCS is that it feels particularly sturdy. The handle feels sturdy, so I can easily open and close the door. The detergent drawer also feels sturdy when I pull it out to dose detergent myself. The good build quality gives me confidence that this Miele will last for years. Miele has also thought about the internal technologies, such as PowerWash and CapDosing. However, I have to turn the dial to 'off' after the program, otherwise the door won't open.
Extra fast washing
My previous washing machine wasn't exactly fast. It is all the better that this Miele has PowerWash. With the QuickPowerWash program, I washed a half-full drum clean in 49 minutes. I am not someone who always waits until the laundry basket is completely full, so the option to quickly and thoroughly wash a half-full load is very useful to me. I also see an option for 'pre-ironing' on the display. Although this adds half an hour to the program, it has become my favorite option. The washing machine heats the drum with this function, which means that my clothes come out of the drum less creased.
Energy-efficient choice
With an energy class of A-20%, this washing machine saves a lot on my energy costs. That saves me up to 27 euros per year compared to my previous washing machine. This extra energy-efficient class applies mainly to the eco program, which takes 3 hours and 39 minutes. This is perfect when I fill the 8-kilogram drum with bed linen or a whole pile of towels. For daily laundry, I simply use the faster QuickPowerWash program.
More options for my laundry
In addition to normal detergent, I can also use CapDosing washing capsules with this washing machine. This is especially useful for delicate fabrics such as wool and silk. I use the capsules for my sportswear, which not only smells fresh, but also remains breathable and does not charge statically. Capsules are also available for my favorite sweaters. It would have been useful if there was also a TwinDos system, so that I do not have to dose the detergent myself. That would have made it even easier to use.
