Expert review of the JBL Live Pro 2
The JBL Live Pro 2 is the successor to the popular Live Pro+. This new model has a similar design and it has the same functions as its predecessor, but is has a longer battery life and a better IPX certification. You can read how these new earbuds stand out in this review.

First impression of the JBL Live Pro 2
The design of these earbuds looks almost exactly the same as their predecessor, the JBL Live Pro+. The difference is mainly the longer battery life and the higher IPX rating, so they're more resistant to water. In the box, I find the standard accessories. These are the manual, different earbud sizes, and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable.
Stay firmly in place
When I put the earbuds in my ears for the first time, I notice right away that they stay in place firmly. I take them to the gym, and they don't fall out during my workout. That way, I can fully concentrate on my workout and listen to my music. Because both earbuds have touch controls, I can control my music without my phone.
Focus on bass
When I listen my favorite dance songs, I note that the bass stands out in the audio. I like that, because the kicks sound powerful and clear. I completely immerse myself in the sound. The My JBL Headphones app on my smartphone allows me to customize the sound via an equalizer. Do I want less bass and more focus on the vocals and instruments? I choose the matching sound profile and enjoy a customized sound.
High-end noise canceling
When I listen to music, I almost don't hear my surroundings at all, thanks to noise canceling. I'm not distracted by ambient noise in public transport and in the gym. The earbuds even mute voices well. This way, I don't have to raise the volume too much in noisy areas. When I bike, the earbuds do catch a lot of wind. The noise canceling can't handle that very well, so I do raise the volume in this case.
Elaborate app
In the app, I can adjust the sound via an equalizer and change all sorts of other settings. For example, I adjust the touch control commands, switch between audio and video mode, and much more. The app is very extensive and I like that, because this allows me to customize my earbuds as I like.
Conclusion
The JBL Live Pro 2 sit firmly in my ears, so they're suitable for at home, on the go, and for workouts. The noise canceling is high-end and it mutes almost all the ambient noise, including voices. I'm also very happy with the high sound quality and all customization options in the app. Together with the longer battery life and higher IPX rating compared to its predecessor, these are the best JBL earbuds I've ever tested, in my opinion.
