I have had a great experience with these speakers, they can be loud enough to provide your room (bedroom in my case) with sound and even make it vibrate a bit. I do recommend buying this set especially if you plan to play a lot of movies and games, you can play music on it, but the sound quality can be a bit disappointing, I noticed, if you are not used to them that much. fine though. They are fine in small rooms, but in a larger room they are disappointing, we had them connected to the TV, but then the sound was disappointing, the bass was okay, especially the mid/high tones were less. I had been looking forward to this new member of Logitech for a long time. The wait was more than rewarded! A 5.1 surround for the PC, at a price to say the least and from the quality brand Logitech... What more could one wish for. Installation went smoothly: Stylish speakers, cables are long enough (for a small to medium-sized room), just plug in and it works! What I did have to figure out myself was that the middle and rear speakers have to be activated in Win 7 when playing regular 2-channel stereo (iTunes, games, etc...). But once that is activated (under control panel / speakers) it is a wonderful experience! When playing DVDs with 5.1 surround, all speakers are automatically activated without having to set anything. The stereo is nicely distributed over the 6 speakers (bass, middle, stereo front & rear). The speakers give a nice clear and full sound, even at a high volume.

The Logitech Z506 is recommended for anyone who wants to connect a high-quality 5.1 surround to their PC at a very comfortable price. This speaker set does not seem optimal for TV due to a lack of optical and HDMI ...
