This Linksys WAP300N was purchased to strengthen the WiFi signal in a new-build home. The WAP300N automatically detects the most important settings of the network itself; Other than giving the network a name and password, there is no work for the user; Ready in minutes!
The signal strength is good, but not excellent either. However, this may be due to the fact that "new construction", more than to the device itself.
To obtain perfect WiFi coverage on the 1st floor, I installed a 2nd WAP300N there. This configuration was somewhat more difficult than with the 1st device: the software sometimes makes a mistake during installation between the 2 access points. However, this was solved after a few tries, and everything works fine now, with strong coverage on all floors !!
If desired, the device can be conveniently mounted on the wall. Beautiful and sober design, equipped with 2 antennas.
In short; a modest investment for excellent WiFi coverage, extremely fast and easy to configure with the current internet providers in this country, easy to use. Mainly in the way of configuration, this device has a big advantage!
