According to our heart rate sensor expert
The Garmin ANT+ Heart Rate Sensor keeps a close eye on your heart rate. Wear it around your torso and it immediately measures the rate of consecutive heart beats. Your heart rate is shared with your Garmin GPS device, so you can keep a close eye on your most vital bodily function. The Garmin heart rate sensor is an indispensable accessory for the sporty navigator.

I've loved Garmin watches for running for years. However, each time I had problems with the heart lag. This shot from high to low when I used the included soft tires. I even got a new one from Garmin twice, but the problem came back quickly. Now I have this slightly firmer band (and I don't notice it at all when wearing it) and now the problem is completely gone. No more weird outliers. This has been by far my best purchase of this year and I can recommend it to anyone who recognizes the problems

Boy, what a perfect service from Coolblue.. Received the 3rd heart rate sensor in 6 months last week (delivered within 1 day). And now I know for sure, the old model heart rate sensor is qualitatively much better than the new premium model. The new model ran after an average of 2 hours of running. Sometimes it didn't indicate anything and sometimes it went to abnormally high values. Because I run about 4 to 5 marathons in a year and also train a lot of long endurance runs, the new model was of no use to me. The old model, mainly produced from rubber, does not cause these problems... In my opinion, the cause is: because I perspire a lot and the chest wall is completely soaked with perspiration after about 2 hours of running, this causes disruption to the electronics in my opinion ... Fortunately, Coolblue solved this problem very neatly by giving me the old type heart rate sensor. I am very happy with this because it works perfectly stable. Good luck to everyone with any purchase. Regards, Leendert van de Ven

The stuff works. I first had to wet the rubber sensors (a little spit) before the montana picked up the signal. After that, the heartbeat field had to be made visible somewhere. I did that with the profile fitness on the trip computer. I am still investigating whether the heartbeat field can also be made visible on the map. I have only used it indoors so far. What I like about the product is the simplicity, click it shut and you're done. What I dislike is that the tire is a bit cold in the beginning. The values indicated are correct. It doesn't seem possible to save the heart rate frequency in your track.
