I first had a Senseo sarista. The neighbors knew exactly when I was going to make coffee. So I went looking for something a little quieter. In addition, it was a Saturday evening. That would mean I would have to go a whole Sunday without coffee.. after I wanted to call off all my friends to ask if I could come and have coffee with them on Sunday, it turned out I had no friends. So problem. I search the internet. There is delivery on Sunday. Problem solved.

On the pictures that came by I saw many good reviews for this coffee machine. Average 4.5 stars out of 300+ reviews. Then I thought it must be good. It said it would also be quiet. So the choice was quickly made.

On Sunday 2 postmen came to my door with a huge box. Yes Yes. So unpack. Unpacking went well and connecting was easy. First cup of coffee. I full of expectation. Damn what a filthy weak coffee. I said to myself RTFM. So I read that thing. Turns out I had the strength on very slack. Turned all the way to strong and try again.

Perfect coffee. Mmm delicious.

I put it on Facebook. I do have friends there. That evening I suddenly get real people at my door. A bit uneasy I let them in and let them try my coffee. Now you have made real friends.

And the neighbours' complaints no longer bother me. I don't think she likes my noise either.

We have had this device for exactly 2 years, time for an objective review. This machine does exactly and flawlessly to this day what it is intended for; to make coffee. Makes some noise, but that is allowed with a grinding mechanism. The pump is also a bit noisy, but it hasn't gotten any worse in the time we've had it.

A disadvantage is the descaling procedure, which simply does not work as it should according to the manual and the sparse YT video. We now accept the flashing descaling light, knowing that we probably won't have to descale the machine again until 2025 with the amount of times we've tried it with De'Longhi's expensive liquid.

I don't really understand the comments on the product description that this machine would be complicated to clean. I'm not known for my great cleaning drive, but the brew group can easily be rinsed under a tap and is then ready for use again. The container with sludge is also easy to empty and filling the water tank is also a small job.

In short; great device without a lot of unnecessary frills that simply makes delicious espressos.

It is my second De Longhi coffee machine. The first one had a hard coffee bean in the grinder. As a result, the device crashed. Very complicated to open that part. I couldn't. In the meantime I bought this device. The regular filter coffee no longer tasted. It's a fine machine. I went to a repair cafe with the old device. I managed to get it to talk.
