According to our dehumidifier expert
Thanks to the built-in filters and ionization function, you both dehumidifier the air and improve the air quality.
On the display, you can easily select the desired humidity level.
Feel free to place this dehumidifier in your basement, caravan, or holiday home, because it also works in low temperatures.
With a capacity of 2 liters, the water tank fills up more quickly compared to other dehumidifiers.
Looking for a dehumidifier that performs well in cold spaces? The Qlima DD208 is something for you. This dehumidifier works well at all temperatures, so it also functions properly in garages, basements, or other cold spaces. It's suitable for spaces up to 20m2. Is the water tank full? The device signals when you have to empty the tank. Want the dehumidifier to switch on at preset times? The timer lets you set your preferred time slots.
Performances
Reliability
The device dehumidifies my 15 square meter bedroom well and quickly, even at lower temperatures, for which I had also purchased it. This adsorption dehumidifier is also quite quiet thanks to the lack of a compressor. In the 'low' position, the device makes considerably less noise than a fan in the lowest setting and it certainly does not keep me from sleeping. The device is obviously noisier on the two highest settings, but it is not an unpleasant noise. The water tank is on the small side with 2 liters and can be filled in less than half a day in a damp room. That is why I use the supplied hose to drain the water to a larger container. This dehumidifier is not splash-proof and can therefore not be placed in a bathroom. The setting options are limited, but adequate. I did notice that the device apparently cannot work continuously: when the humidity of the room falls below a certain value (30%, it seems), the device automatically switches off completely. Fortunately, the device can also be set to 40, 50 and 60% humidity. The device then switches back to standby as soon as the set value is reached and switches on again automatically when that value is exceeded again. An adsorption dehumidifier consumes a lot of power (more than a condensation dehumidifier), but in my case, after the first few days, the device only needs to work 1 to 2 hours a day to keep the humidity under control. On an annual basis, the extra electricity costs will therefore probably be limited to just under 100 euros. If you use the dehumidifier much more often, the costs will of course be considerable. All in all I am very satisfied with my purchase of the Qlima DD208.

We only used the Qlima DD208 for a very short time and immediately installed a power consumption meter. 1.1kWh for about 0.5 liters of water; 4.4 kWh for a full reservoir. With current electricity prices, this device would consume more electricity on an annual basis than my electric car. Unfortunately, but not possible. Looking for a different solution for the shed.

This is the only device I have that works below 16 degrees. The appliance is located in a cold attic room where there is little heating and it is damp. The device manages to bring the humidity from 78% to 56% in two hours. (space approx. 70 m3)
