According to our router expert
Thanks to the 4G LTE modem, you can always access the internet without a wired internet connection.
This router supports MU-MIMO, so you'll get a more stable wireless connection.
You can protect your kids from harmful sites with parental controls.
You need a Micro SIM card with subscription when you're using this router.
This router only supports WiFi 5, so your wireless internet is less stable than with WiFi 6.
With the FRITZ!Box 6850 LTE router, you won't need a wired internet connection to set up a wireless connection anywhere. You can put a SIM card into the router and set up a connection via 4G. This also gives you a fast connection if you live in a rural area or in your vacation home. The FRITZ!Box also has a built-in telephone exchange to call via IP, so you can be reached via your landline phone as well. In addition, you can connect your smart FRITZ!DECT devices to this LTE router. The WiFi speed is high enough to be online with several devices at the same time.
The product does what it says and can do much more.

Fast straight forward installation. Certainly in combination with a VDSL connection from Telfort was starting and running. The T-Mobile home 4G installation took more time. Out-of-the-Box it works right away with T-Mobile; but via the smartphone APN. This had to be adjusted manually. It would be better if there was a choice for, for example, T-Mobile / T-Mobile at home 4G / KPN Buitenaf that idea.
