A nice high-end machine: fast and smooth (I couldn't wait for Alder Lake) and also very nicely finished. The dark blue metallic color with bronze accents stands out without appearing bling-bling. The design and the screen edges immediately look premium and seem very durable to me. Few laptops are as beautiful as this one, in my opinion. After much hesitation, I opted for the 3K OLED screen. That is impressively beautiful, with intense colors and deep blacks. By default it is set rather exaggeratedly bright, but with the right settings in the HP tool it is natural and intense. I still have to get used to the 3:2 ratio, but I see the benefit. The disadvantage of the screen is the high power consumption, which means that the battery life of this laptop is disappointing (compared to my previous HP Specter X360). A full day on battery will just not work, I'm afraid, but the fast charger makes up for it. If the battery life is critical, there is also a version with standard resolution. Another drawback is the cramped keyboard. Perhaps logical in a 14" laptop, but I could get used to my previous X360 faster. Some useful keys have also been added, such as the on/off button (formerly on the side) and the webcam switch. I also find the ventilation quite noisy. While my previous X360 almost never made any noise, this one starts buzzing pretty quickly. None of these drawbacks are really serious, and I was able to predict most of them in advance by choosing a compact, fast machine with a top screen. In any case, the benefits outweigh much more for me, so I would immediately make the same choice. Very happy with this Specter again!
