According to our laptop expert
You can flip the touchscreen 360 degrees and use the Chromebook as a tablet, so you can watch movies and series comfortably.
Thanks to the Intel Celeron processor and 8GB RAM, you can smoothly browse the internet, write texts, or use light apps.
You can also store documents offline on your Chromebook thanks to the 128GB local storage.
Choose an Intel Pentium Silver processor if you want your Chromebook to last longer, because a Celeron processor is less future-proof.
This Chromebook doesn't have a keyboard backlight, which makes it difficult to read the keyboard in the dark.
Note: you can only download apps from the Google Play Store. Not all Windows or macOS programs work the same way or are available to download on a Chromebook. Want to use Office? Keep in mind that you can only work in a web version of the app.
The 14-inch Acer Chromebook Spin 314 (CP314-1HN-C7JD) is a compact 2-in-1 laptop that's ideal for on the go. Fold the touchscreen 360 degrees to use the laptop as a tablet. This way, you can easily take notes and swipe through all your apps. You do so without slowing down thanks to the Intel Celeron processor and 8GB RAM. This laptop also has 128GB Flash, which means you have more storage than on most other Chromebook models. With the installed ChromeOS, you can download apps from the Google Play Store and store all your files in Google Drive. In addition, ChromeOS is an energy-efficient operating system, so you can easily work on your Chromebook the entire day.
My first Chromebook, and it's a surprising success: intuitive and meets expectations. It still takes some getting used to to get the most out of it.
