According to our clothes steamer expert
Thanks to the built-in style board, you can easily lay down your clothes and neatly steam away wrinkles.
You can place a fragrance cap in the infuser to add a nice scent to the steam.
The 2L water tank allows you to steam multiple clothing items in a row.
Clothes steamers have a relatively low steam output, so they can't replace your iron.

I expected a bit more convenience from the Philips 3000 Series STE3170/80. The appliance heats up quickly and is easy to assemble, but I was a bit disappointed with its usability. You can't tilt the board and have to constantly move it by hand. The steam is very hot, and the included glove doesn't feel comfortable. The water tank also leaks a bit when you remove it, and the low dial is awkwardly placed. You have to hold the clothes firmly while steaming. Ultimately, it works well, but it's not a keeper for me.

The appliance is easy to assemble and takes up little space. You fill the steamer with water and it's ready to use in under a minute. The tilting plate is handy for placing your clothes on top and steaming hard-to-reach areas. However, it doesn't remove stubborn wrinkles, and it's no faster than ironing. Furthermore, the hose is very sensitive; if it's not positioned correctly, your clothes will get wet and it's noisy.

It's a great steamer. It's easy to assemble and works quite well. However, it doesn't remove stubborn wrinkles from a shirt. The hose is also sensitive, so if it's even slightly tilted, water will get on your clothes and it'll make a noise. It also takes a very long time to steam a whole shirt. For a simple blouse, this would be fine. Incidentally, it heats up and is ready to use in 60 seconds. The tilting plate is also a nice addition. You can easily place your clothes on it.
