Excellent successor to my old Miele

This C3 replaces my old Miele Black Pearl 5000, which had to be replaced after 15 years of loyal service. What is immediately striking is that there is little innovation in the vacuum cleaners with a bag category, at least not at Miele. This doesn't have to be a problem if the design is good, and that seems to be the case here. My old Miele has been renamed C2, the cheaper variant of the C3. The C3 offers a little more luxury, such as an electronic control that can be operated by foot, which is very useful. Furthermore, they are virtually identical in appearance and engine.

The only real change compared to 15 years ago is that the engine power has been reduced from 2000 watts to 890 watts. This initially worried me as I thought it would reduce the suction. Although the suction power is indeed slightly less, it is not as drastic as you would expect based on the power. It is still more than sufficient. This also makes the C3 slightly quieter than my old one. I would therefore advise against other vacuum cleaners with a power of around 600 watts or less.
