According to our laptop expert
Step into the world of AI with the Microsoft Surface Pro Copilot+ PC OLED. This 2-in-1 laptop has a Snapdragon X Elite processor with 45 TOPS, so you can add AI to all your tasks. The processor learns during use, so it can process tasks more easily and quickly. This way, AI automatically improves spelling mistakes, you can switch between programs faster, and you can enjoy an extra long battery life. For example, turn on Copilot and easily convert the demanding data analyses to spreadsheets and graphics in Microsoft Excel. You can also smoothly edit large video files with AI because it works together with the Adreno video card. On the touchscreen, you can smoothly edit visuals with the separately available Surface Slim Pen, for example. While you draw, Cocreator automatically creates a visual example so you can easily edit your creations. Work on the go a lot? No problem, you can effortlessly work on the go with the 14-hour battery life.
Note: The Slim Surface Pen and Type Cover aren't included by default with the Surface Pro, so you have to buy them separately.
Note: some Copilot+ PC functions require a free update. This update will be available early 2025.

The Arm version of Windows has positively surprised me, super fast, cool, no fan noises. Versatile and easy to carry. The type cover is sold separately, is expensive, but you have to have it. They come in 3 flavors, the cheapest without pen holder has a harder exterior, the pen versions have felt upholstery. Would take the original Microsoft type cover because other brands often work via Bluetooth and not via the pin connection. SSD is easy to upgrade yourself. I chose the IPS version, is a fine screen, the 10 core version differs about 10% from the 12 core version, in practice you hardly notice the difference.

Speed and image quality more than make up for my issues with Adobe.

I have been a fan of surface pro for many years, mostly because of its sturdiness and performance as well as compatibility and ease of connection with other devices. It fits my handbag, can use it anywhere in many diffeent ways. After 5 years, it stopped working properly, even attached to electricity. But for 5 years had absolutely no issues, it was great. Before geting a new surface I checked all the measurements of my previous surface and the new one I wanted to buy. I also checked if it had a usb C port. Very naive of me... Yes even with all the dimensions matching previous versions, the keyboard (type cover) does not attach the same way to the screen and worse of all, it only has 2 usb C ports. Which means that on top of the screen cost you need to purchase a hundred and sixty E keyboard (type cover) and a two hundred E docking station if you want to connect your laptop to two screens and have an audio entry plus an usb for camera for instance. Please have that in mind when comparing costs. (In the end i went to some cheap brand for the hdmi/usb connection, and for ten E you can have a cable for the audio directly to the usb C port). Also, the slick beautiful design in the end becomes a mess in my desk with the docking station and the cables from one side and from the other... I wish I had known all these before making a decision, but the reviews don't get publish it you mention prices.... In comparison to other known brands, it will be cheaper if you are willing to give up the touch screen...
