According to our VR headset expert
Play in your own environment: the VR headset has mixed reality, so you can combine augmented reality and virtual reality.
Play directly from your VR headset: you can play games right from your VR headset, or play PC VR games through Steam via WiFi or a Link Cable.
Sharp, adjustable image: the pancake lenses make the image sharper, and you can adjust them exactly how you want.
Extra cable for PC VR: for PC VR, you need an extra Link Cable.
Less smooth images: the 90Hz refresh rate shows images less smoothly and is unsuitable for all apps and games.
I play Elite Dangerous for hours on 4k resolution and really have to set an alarm, otherwise I'll go through the whole night.

I already had the regular pico 4 and sold it because I didn't use it much, but with these winter days I missed it and now bought the Pico 4 ultra. So I already had Virtual Desktop and didn't have to buy this one. Pico connect now also works well, which I couldn't do with the previous Pico 4, so now I can use the PCVR via the cable.
You buy a Quest if you want to be someone, and you buy a Pico if you are someone :)

My first VR headset. I use it as a PC VR headset, and connecting it is easy. It's a great device, but in first-person games where you run around, I get motion sickness—something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to it. The image quality is adequate; 90Hz is fine, but the pixels are visible (something I didn't expect). All in all, a great VR headset for gaming.
