ASUS TUF-BE6500
anything for a smile
Unfortunately, this router was not suitable for me. Previously, I never had issues with this brand, but since the last 2 routers, I haven't had any luck.
I tried multiple times to get it working. On my KPN fiber optic connection, another router (Asus RT-AX86U Pro) worked flawlessly for some time, via PPPoE over VLAN 6. That router became defective. Temporarily, I used the KPN Box 12, which connects immediately to the same ONT, the same port, and the same cable.
However, this Asus TUF-BE6500 does not establish a single PPPoE session: the discovery phase stops with "Timeout waiting for PADO packets". Unfortunately, I had to return it to Coolblue. Fortunately, I did get a refund in the form of credit, so Coolblue's service is still good.

The internet from a WiFi router can't be faster than the internet from your provider.
With 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, you and your housemates always have fast WiFi.
WiFi 7 only works with devices that support this WiFi standard.
One router doesn't give you enough coverage for a larger apartment or multiple floors.
