FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro Edition International

I upgraded my Wi-Fi 6 Fritzbox. Net, it's more of a loss than a gain for my current usage. I don't notice any difference in speed (with four children). However, my Wi-Fi 7 connection is noticeably worse in some areas, and this isn't even very far from the router. You'd expect it to slow down, but it maintains a higher speed, albeit much less stable. For example, I never had problems with video calls, but now I do. If I switch it to just 5 GHz (6 off), it works fine again. But then there's no added benefit compared to my older Wi-Fi 6 router. In fact, it worked better.

I've had very good experiences with AVM Fritzbox equipment for twenty years now, and this one is excellent again.

Quality and convenience. The modem/router is a crowd-pleaser that supports virtually all common standards. Super easy to install via the wizard. Notably, there is no KPN XGS-PON support yet; it must be connected via the WAN port, which limits the maximum speed to 2.5Gb, which is of course still lightning fast. Hopefully, this support will be added later, which would make this a beast of a modem/router.
