The Lenovo LOQ 17IRX10 is an entry-level gaming laptop that allows me to smoothly play medium- and high-end games in Full HD. I play most games without stuttering at a minimum of 60 frames per second. The laptop feels sturdy, but a bit heavy.
Powerful NVIDIA RTX 5000 graphics card
On this laptop, I play all games smoothly in Full HD without DLSS support. This is thanks to the powerful NVIDIA RTX 5070 graphics card. Even when my city in Cities Skylines is highly detailed, I notice few problems. I play stably at 60 to 80 frames per second. The same applies to Forza Horizon 5, where I play smoothly at over 120 frames per second. I enable the first-person view camera, which makes driving feel realistic. I play high-end games, like Microsoft Flight Simulator and Starfield, with DLSS support enabled without stuttering. These games are demanding on the laptop, but they run smoothly.
Gaming look with RGB keyboard
The RGB backlit keyboard gives this laptop a true gaming look. Using Lenovo Vantage, I can easily adjust different lighting types, including patterns. This Lenovo LOQ laptop also has a built-in docking station on the back. All cables are easily hidden, allowing me to play on a tidy desk. The large 17-inch screen gives me a good overview of my games. In Cities Skylines, I have a good view of my map, buildings, and roads without having to zoom out constantly. The only drawback is its weight. I find the laptop quite heavy, partly due to the plastic casing.
Good ventilation
The laptop stays cool while gaming, but it is noisy. The temperature stays around 60 degrees Celsius, which is normal for gaming. Due to its large size, the laptop has more ports on the sides and back. This allows warm air to escape smoothly. Unfortunately, the bottom of the laptop does get a bit warm. The cooling works well for entry-level gaming, but it's not sufficient for demanding gaming.
