After a few weeks, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE feels like a smart, reliable phone that does exactly what I need. It's light, sturdy, and surprisingly well-equipped for the price.
Great size
What I really appreciate is that when it's closed, I can quickly slip it into my pocket without it protruding or feeling heavy. I no longer have to worry about whether I have room for my phone. And as soon as I open it, I have a bright, large screen in my hands. The device is nice and slim and light, so it's easy to hold, even when scrolling with one hand.
Bright screen for shows and videos
I often watch videos while I'm on the train or while waiting. The screen is large enough for shows, and the colors are vibrant. Indoors, everything is clearly visible, but in bright sunlight, I sometimes have to turn to see it clearly. Not a deal-breaker, but something to keep in mind. When I place the Flip open in front of me on the table in the train, it stays securely in place, and I can continue watching hands-free.
Small screen, great convenience
What I use most often is the small screen on the outside. If I want to quickly check my train time or read a notification, I don't even have to open it. I swipe through my music, see notifications, and even reply to short messages right from there. Sometimes I even watch a short video or Instagram story on that small screen. It works surprisingly well and saves a lot of time when I'm on the go.
Good camera with handy preview
I prefer taking selfies with the rear camera because the quality is better. The advantage is that you can see yourself on the small screen. This way, I know exactly how I'm being photographed. When I place the phone on the table and raise my hand, it automatically takes a photo. I often use this when I want to take a photo with someone, without the hassle of timers or buttons.
A smart choice as a first foldable
The Flip 7 FE is a reliable foldable, but without the price tag of the top models. It works smoothly for everything I do: texting, scrolling, calling, watching videos. There are some trade-offs in screen brightness and speed, but in everyday use, I hardly notice them. What I notice most is how often I use it without unfolding it, and how useful the features are for everyday use.
