Nothing Headphone (1) White

With their unique design, the Nothing Headphones (1) are a real eye-catcher. These headphones not only look special, but the sound is also very good. I do find the carrying case a bit too big to take with me, though.

Design The headphones have almost square earcups that resemble retro cassette tapes. Whether you like this design is very personal. I personally think the headphones have a cool look. Nothing has also put a lot of thought into the design. For example, the earcups have several buttons. I adjust the volume with a dial, which works nicely and precisely. I tap another button to the side to skip to the next track. I find this more convenient than regular push buttons. On the outside of the right earcup is a button that I assign a custom function via the app. I prefer to turn the noise canceling on and off with this button.

Powerful sound I think the sound of the headphones is very good. The highs or lows are never too overpowering. The sound is balanced in every genre I listen to: with pop music, I hear vocals clearly, with rock music, I enjoy powerful guitars, and with dance music, the bass is very powerful. I like a strong bass, so I adjust the sound profile in the equalizer to one with extra bass. The headphones also have good noise canceling. I listen to music at the office and can't hear my colleagues talking. If there's a very loud sound, I can hear it through the music. I notice this, for example, when the neighbors are drilling at home.

Splashproof I prefer to wear headphones while exercising because they stay in place and I'm less distracted. Most headphones can't handle sweat, so I can't use them for this. The Nothing Headphones (1) have an IP52 rating, which means they can withstand a little moisture. Because of this, I use them at the gym, but the headphones can't withstand a rain shower.

User-friendly app I use the headphones without the app, but I like to connect them to the app for even more features. For example, I turn on spatial audio, a feature that lets me hear the sound all around me. I especially use this when watching a movie or TV show. The app also has an equalizer. I can choose from standard profiles or create my own sound profile.

This noise cancellation helps me quite well against the construction noise from the neighbors (between 80 and 90 decibels at my place, running for over 3 months now).

Beautiful product, super operation, fantastic EQ which makes everything possible in terms of tuning, hardware is top notch
