Hue Secure Wired Video Doorbell + Chime

As a fan of Philips Hue, I already had several lights and accessories in my home, so this video doorbell felt like a logical next step. And honestly: it doesn't disappoint. The installation was surprisingly simple and connected to my existing Hue setup in no time.

What really makes the difference for me is how seamlessly everything works together. As soon as someone rings the bell or motion is detected, I can see this immediately in the app and even have my Hue lights react. That provides not only extra convenience but also a sense of security, especially in the evening hours.

The image quality is sharp and clear, even in low light. Notifications come through quickly and the app works intuitively, exactly as I've come to expect from Hue. You can just tell that this product is part of a well-thought-out ecosystem.

In short: if you already have Hue in your home, this is highly recommended. It takes your smart home to the next level.

Since installing this video doorbell, I've only just realized how many packages I was actually missing. The other day, the delivery person was at the door again while I was working upstairs, but via the app I could simply let them know I was on my way. That really reduces stress, because before, I sometimes just didn't hear the bell. The image is really super sharp; you can see everything clearly even in the dark. The sound is also surprisingly good, with no crackling or delay. Installation was actually easier than I thought, although I did have to puzzle a bit with the wiring. The design fits my house nicely; it's not such a bulky thing.

I had to return the doorbell and am now waiting for a new one. The doorbell won't connect to my Wi-Fi. Together with Philips Hue, KPN, and Cool Blue, we concluded that we are returning this one and hopefully the new doorbell works!
