Bought as a successor to the Garmin Instinct 2 Solar and immediately very happy with it. It is a bit bigger at 50 mm, though. But in return, you get an incredibly long battery life.
My reason for going for the variant with the MIP display. Very easy to read, even in the sun. No shiny, energy-guzzling OLED screen for me.
All settings (and there are a lot of them) can be edited on the watch, but I found it much easier to do it via the app.
