Sony 1000X THE COLLEXION Platinum

These headphones are a huge step forward in sound quality and wearing comfort compared to the XM6. The materials used are also really nice.

After trying out a number of headphones, I settled on the Collexion. It is expensive, but in my opinion, it is worth it. Beautiful, open sound with very good differentiation between vocals and instruments. The finish feels luxurious. I do have to wait and see how the light color holds up, as it requires careful handling. I chose the light color because the brushed metal appealed to me more in terms of color than the black version. That is, of course, very personal.

After testing for a few days, I can say a few things about it. The headphones come in a sturdy and robust-feeling protective case. I had high expectations because I had read many reviews. I really wonder if there is better noise cancelling available at the moment. I am used to a lot when it comes to noise cancelling, but this is simply next level. As soon as you put them on your ears, you hear nothing from your surroundings and are completely immersed in the music. It is also nice that there are different modes, such as music mode or cinema mode. This really adds an extra dimension to the experience. It is sturdily built and has a sleek finish. If I have to mention a downside: you cannot fold it up. As a result, it takes up quite a bit of space in your backpack, for example. Apart from that, it is truly a top-notch pair of headphones.
