The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro earbuds deliver full sound and strongly dampen ambient noise. This allows me to enjoy music in peace and work with concentration at the office. The built-in screen offers handy functions, but it does turn off after just 8 seconds.

Full sound and strong noise cancelling The sound of the standard Soundcore Signature mode sounds full and powerful. The sound has a slight emphasis on the bass tones, but I love that. For balanced sound, I choose the Calm and Soothing mode and listen to music for a pleasantly long time. When listening to rap or house music, I choose Powerful Bass. With this setting, the bass tones sound strong and I enjoy the beat even more. I turn on Dolby Atmos when I want to hear the sound more spatially. This makes it seem as if I am playing the music through a speaker in a room. However, the sound is less full and tinnier. I choose between Fixed or Head Tracking with Dolby Atmos. With the latter setting, the sound clearly comes from one side and it feels like I am at a concert. I notice that the sound sometimes sounds sharp with sibilant sounds and loud cymbals. The noise cancelling on the earbuds is very strong. I don't hear any conversations around me at the office. Even if someone calls my name, I don't hear it. Sudden noises don't disturb me either.

Handy little screen on the charging case On the small screen on the charging case, I can quickly see how much battery each earbud and the charging case still have. After unlocking, I adjust many different settings. For instance, I choose from various equalizer modes, turn Dolby Atmos on or off, select noise cancelling or ambient sound, and take a photo remotely using the camera button. I also play a sound for each earbud if I lose one. With the Easy Chat setting, the volume of my music is lowered and Transparency Mode turns on. This allows me to easily have a conversation with someone while keeping the earbuds in my ears. The screen does turn off quickly, after about 8 seconds. I find this inconvenient when I scroll through the different equalizer settings and listen to which one I like best. I have to unlock the screen again every time.

High wearing comfort The earbuds sit securely and comfortably in my ears. They also stay in place well when I walk at a brisk pace. Soundcore includes 4 other sizes of ear tips and 2 other sizes of ear wings, so I can find the best size for my ears.
