Philips OneBlade Intimate QP1930/30

The product is very good; the blades seem to last a very long time, and you notice that it simply shaves well.

What stood out immediately was that this product causes no skin irritation, which was normally always the case with the manual blades I used to use. So, I actually get almost the same results but with the same blades and without skin irritation, for a good price.

The flat blade feels like a razor that really gets right to the root. I also have a One Blade for my beard and face, and that one sometimes stings when you want to contour, but I haven't experienced that with the Intimate on my intimate areas. I think that's because the Intimate is just slightly different. The batteries also last a really long time with the One Blades. Because the One Blade is constructed differently, you notice that you reach all spots quite well, just like a normal razor, but unlike razors, you don't have to really scrape off the lines, which you have to do more often. So it's very convenient to reach everywhere. What's also funny is with my beard, I think, is why the trimmer has two sides, because you mainly go in one direction (also because of the attachment piece), but with the Intimate, you really do use both sides of the blade.

I had expected more from the Philips OneBlade Intimate QP1930/30. The shaver fits comfortably in the hand and is specifically designed for shaving intimate areas, but in my opinion, the protection leaves something to be desired.

The biggest drawback is the protective cap. It does not provide the protection you would expect from it. Despite the cap, there is still a chance of cutting yourself, for example near a hair follicle. The narrow teeth of the razor can still penetrate the skin or reach around a hair follicle, meaning you can still sustain cuts or nicks.

Especially when shaving sensitive areas, you expect a device to be extra safe and minimize the risk of cuts. I do not find this to be sufficiently the case with this model.

Conclusion: The concept behind the Philips OneBlade Intimate is good, but the protective cap is disappointing. For a device intended for sensitive skin, I expected better protection. Therefore, in terms of safety and ease of use in intimate areas, this product disappoints me.
