How do you choose a Samsung Galaxy S22 charger?

You don't get a charger with your new Samsung Galaxy S22, just a charging cable. Choose a fast charger for the Samsung S22 and charge your device for 60% in half an hour. There are different types of fast chargers. We'll help you choose the right charger for your Samsung S22.

Choose Samsung S22 charger

Ask yourself the following questions when you choose a Samsung Galaxy S22 charger:

  • How fast do you want to charge?
  • Do you want to charge with or without cable?
  • Do you want to charge wirelessly as well?

Do you want to charge extra fast?

You can charge the Samsung S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra extra fast with the Samsung 25W Super Fast Charging charger. With it, you can charge your empty battery back up to 60% in half an hour. With other fast chargers, this amount of time will get you up to 40%. Without a fast charger, you'll get something like 20%. You can charge the Samsung S22 Plus and Ultra even faster with the Samsung 45W charger. Half an hour of charging gets you battery back up to 70%.

S22 wireless charging

Do you want to charge wirelessly?

With a wireless charger, you can easily charge your S22 without any cables. All you have to do is place your device on the charger. Choose a Samsung charger with 15W power to fully charge your empty battery in about 2 hours. With other wireless chargers, this would take about 2.5 to 3 hours. Do you also want to charge your Galaxy Watch, Samsung earbuds and/or extra smartphone? Choose an S22 wireless charger for multiple devices.

S22 USB-C charger with cable

Do you want a charger with or without cable?

Your Samsung S22 includes a USB-C to USB-C cable. You need this special cable with 2 USB-C connectors to connect your Samsung S22. If you still have a cable like this at home, that'll work fine as well. However, older cables with an angular USB-A connector won't fit in the new fast chargers. Buy a charger with a cable if you want to keep a backup USB-C cable around the house. Choose a slightly more expensive nylon or kevlar cable if you want a cable that lasts a long time.
