In-ear

In-ear earbuds go right into your ear canal. You put these earbuds in your ear canal with a rotating movement. That way, you press them into your ear canal. At a certain point, you can feel they're in firmly. It sometimes help to pull your ear up or down so your ear canal is straight, which makes putting the earbuds in easier. It's important that you put these earbuds in your ear firmly, otherwise the bass isn't reproduced well. If your earbuds don't fit, try the other included ear tip sizes.

Ear hook

Earbuds with an ear hook make sure your earbuds won't fall out of your ears quickly. That makes this wearing method ideal for workouts. You twist the ear hook behind your ears. You put the ear tip in your ear at the same time. When you twist the ear hook well, the earbuds are usually firmly in place. Some earbuds have a flexible ear hook. You can push this hook against your auricle so it sits even more firmly.

Ear clip

When earbuds have an ear clip, they firmly stay in your ears. The difference between an ear clip and ear hook is that an ear clip is in your auricle and the ear hook goes around your ear. You first place the ear tip in your ear canal. As soon as that's in firmly, you push the earbud back a bit. Do this until the ear clip slots into your auricle. You often receive several ear clip sizes, so you always have the right clip for you.

Earbuds

Earbuds rest in your auricle and don't go directly into your ear canal. This way, you hear more of your surroundings. You put the earbud in the round part of your auricle. They don't go into your ear canal, so you can hear your surroundings.

Bone conduction

With bone conduction, you listen to music in a different way. These earbuds rest on your cheekbones. You place the ear hooks on your auricle and make sure the neckband is behind you. You then rest the contact points on your cheekbones. That way, the bone conduction earbuds are on your head firmly.

The Shokz OpenFit is an example of a model with open-ear earbuds. These types of earbuds rest in your ear. First, you put the ear hook on around your ear via the back. Once these are in place, let the contact point sit in your ear. The earbuds are now firmly in your ears. View the photo below as an example.
