How do you solve the "DR" error code with a Hisense fridge?

Does your Hisense fridge display the error code "DR"? This is the door alarm. This will go off when the door of your fridge has been open for 2 minutes or longer. In this article, you can read what to do.

Solve error code 'DR' in 2 steps

With the error code 'DR', the door alarm is going off. You'll hear a zooming sound. You can stop the alarm with the following 2 steps.

  • Step 1. Close the door
  • Step 2. Check the magnet

Step 1: close the door

The door alarm stops once you close the door properly. Check if any items are blocking the door and move them if they do. The door alarm will automatically stop after 8 minutes.

Step 2: check the magnet and the switch

Did you reverse the fridge door? It might be possible that the magnet and switch aren't attached properly. Check the manual to see how to install these parts correctly. Contact Hisense when the error code won't go away.
