3 tips for a more silent dehumidifier
Can't relax on the couch because your dehumidifier makes too much noise? There's often a specific reason when your dehumidifier produces more noise than you're used to. Luckily, you can easily solve these problems yourself. We'll tell you what the possible causes are and how you can solve them below.
Reduce noise
Easily make your dehumidifier more silent with the solutions below.
- Tip 1: level the air purifier.
- Tip 2: place the dehumidifier away from walls and objects.
- Tip 3: replace the air filter.
Tip 1: level your air purifier
If your dehumidifier isn't level, it doesn't work properly. It can't suck in the air very easily that way. The dehumidifier will have to work harder and that causes a louder noise. So make sure that the dehumidifier is level and on a stable surface.
Tip 2: place the dehumidifier away from walls and objects
Make sure there's enough room around the dehumidifier, so it can continue to suck in the air. Place the dehumidifier at least 20cm from a wall and make sure it's on a flat surface to ensure it works optimally.
Tip 3: replace the air filter
The dehumidifier also makes more noise when the filter is full. So it's important to clean or replace it in time. There are 2 types of filters, a washable filter and a replaceable filter. A washable filter has to be cleaned once every 2 months. Replaceable filters have to be replaced after about 6 months.
