Sometimes the basses may be too loud but that is a personal opinion. the bass is also very deep and not of those annoying high bass tones that you get with some cheaper speakers. I now use them on my desk but I have also used them on my TV which is possible because it has an aux input. A disadvantage is that the cables from the subwoofer to the speakers are rather short. At first I was hesitant to buy Bose speakers for 300 euros, but they just sounded much worse and it lost bass when turning it up, which the z623 certainly isn't.
