RODE Videomic GO

I had my eye on this microphone since it was announced, I already had a microphone (Hama RMZ-14), but it does not require batteries and is therefore always ready for use. And it turned out to be better than the Hama in terms of sound quality. Also very handy is that you can disconnect the cable, because this is often a part that can break in a backpack. Do not expect audio quality or functions from a professional directional microphone or from more expensive Rode models, and there are also no extra settings such as a high-pass filter or level control.

For people looking for a first microphone, this one is really ideal, because it's just plug and play and is always ready to use!

Tip: before you buy this microphone, you should check whether your microphone input supports 2.5 volt plug-in power, otherwise you can't do anything with this microphone.

The Rode videomic GO is extremely lightweight and ready for all your recordings. Because the microphone does not require its own power supply, it is as simple as plugging in. This Rode microphone is suitable for the semi-professional cameraman and avid hobbyist who get started with film. I myself belong to this group of people and have been using the microphone with great pleasure for some time now.

The sound is a world of difference compared to the built-in microphone of my SLR camera. In addition, it is pleasant to use, because no complicated settings have to be made. This can be seen as a disadvantage, but for the starting cameraman it is a plus in my opinion.

A good buy that I will enjoy for a long time to come!

A nice microphone for personal use. The price-quality ratio of the Rode Mic Go is very good. You plug it in and you can start filming right away! It is also super light and does not weigh the camera down. A disadvantage is that if you look through your lens and not through the display, the back protrudes and is therefore a bit in the way. But mostly I film via the display, so not a big problem for me.
