I had a well-functioning portable hard drive for several years, on which I, like many people, store everything from music, to photos, to even my entire bookkeeping. After recently purchasing a dog and he has an exploratory urge for anything loose, I was suddenly surprised to see that our little pup had my external HDD between her teeth. Not so bad I thought, until I plugged it back in and my computer didn't recognize it anymore... F*** Still managed to save some files, but the time had come for a new one!
