Since I had had enough of a 23” 1080p screen for business work because there was not enough on the screen (including laptop as 2nd screen), I started looking at a 27” 2560x1440 IPS monitor. I would like to add some ergonomic features. My eye fell on this Philips monitor.

With the 272B8QJEB, Philips has launched a very attractive and competitively priced monitor on the market. It contains everything most people (and I) look for in a business monitor. All-round it succeeds on all counts.

The pluses of the monitor are obvious. In terms of ergonomics and practicality, it offers every feature, even a swivel base. You will also have no problem connecting the screen to your laptop, computer, .... With HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA and DVI-D you can connect all kinds of old and new computers. Its 27" 1440p IPS panel with accurate color reproduction makes it a pleasure to work with. You don't need a calibrator for this, colors are already displayed accurately by default. The wallet is also happy with the purchase compared to. a more expensive option. I would buy this monitor again.

The drawbacks are minimal. For example, there is no USB-C connection and no USB-Hub cable and DVI-D cable are included as standard. The standard calibration can be adjusted slightly better in terms of color temperature (7000K on the 6500K mode) and the sRGB spectrum (90%) could be filled in a little better, but all in all, not a deal breaker. If you don't do color-accurate work, you'll never notice it. In terms of sturdiness, the foot could be installed in a better way. Even with a screwdriver it is not yet perfectly stable, but in itself stable enough to never have problems with it.

Tips to possibly better adjust your monitor: • 120 cd/m² brightness is at 48-49% • I had to set my panel to R = 98, G = 92, B = 94 to get 6500K. (May not be good for your panel as each panel from the factory is a little different)
