Na lang twijfelen over een 1440p 144 hz scherm toch uitgekomen bij dit scherm van MSI. Met geluk een second chance optie gevonden wat me toch weer wat geld bespaart.
Na een beetje gespeeld te hebben met de instellingen is de kleurweergave erg goed! Dit was ook nodig want out of the box was het niet erg indrukwekkend (ik moest de blauw waarde een beetje omhoog zetten). Ik ben vanaf een 32 inch 60hz 1080p IPS scherm van LG overgestapt naar deze 32 inch van MSI. De kleuren oogde in het begin ietsje minder 'warm' vergeleken met mijn IPS monitor, maar daar tegenover krijg je wel een veel scherper beeld met goed contrast, ook heeft het een snelle refresh rate van 144 hz wat ook echt merkbaar is vergeleken met mijn oude 60 hz monitor. Na 1 dag was ik al gewend aan dit nieuwe scherm en vond ik dit nieuwe scherm veel mooier ogen dan mijn oude. Ook heb ik het scherm meteen getest op dode pixels of backlight bleeding en dit was niet aanwezig in dit paneel. De curve van 1800r wat dit scherm hanteert vind ik persoonlijk erg mooi ogen en ik had geen periode van gewenning nodig. Ik vond de curve meteen vanaf het begin erg prettig kijken en ben blij dat ik hiervoor gekozen heb.
Het monteren van de stand is eenvoudig en goed uitgelegd in de geleverde instructies, de stand voelt ook erg kwalitatief aan. Je hebt wel een kleine schroevendraaier nodig om de bijgeleverde schroeven te monteren. De hele monitor is van goed materiaal gemaakt, en zal zeker niet zo maar omvallen. Ook heeft het scherm anti-reflectie waardoor je minder last krijgt van omgevingslicht.
De response tijd van 1 ms haal je echter alleen als je de monitor instelt op extreme mode, maar dan krijg je wel een flikkerend beeld (dit kreeg ik in GTA V en PUBG, enige games die ik tot nu toe getest heb). Hierdoor heb ik de monitor gewoon op standaard laten staan (en dus 4ms), want persoonlijk zie ik dit verschil van 1 ms en 4 ms niet. Naar mijn mening zijn de Hz veel belangrijker dan die milliseconden. Ook heb ik geen problemen ondervonden met het aanzetten van de Freesync optie, wat werkt naar verwachting met mijn AMD videokaart (MSI R9 390 8 Gig).
Het scherm heeft aan de achterkant 2 rode LEDjes. Deze storen niet in de avond en geven een rustige rode gloed. Als je niks achter je scherm hebt staan zal je dit waarschijnlijk niet eens merken.
Deze monitor kan je niet verticaal verstellen, wat ik jammer vond want volgens de beschrijving van Coolblue was dit wel mogelijk. Deze monitor kan je alleen een beetje kantelen op de verticale as!
Al met al een zeer goede monitor waar je ook echt waar krijgt voor je geld. Het scherm voelt als een premium monitor aan, wat vergeleken met mijn oude LG 32MP58HQ-P - IPS Monitor ook echt aanvoelt als een waardige upgrade.
