Our 7-year-old Krups Dolce Gusto stopped working during the home working period, drove to the Coolblue store asap later that day (after researching what our new coffee machine was going to be).
The reason for us to opt for a cup machine again, mainly has to do with the amount of coffee we normally drink during working days, this is virtually nil. This way we don't have to worry about coffee beans that may no longer be good and we can constantly try different coffees + decafs. As a result, we often still drink a cup of coffee in the evening.
I drink a lot of cappuccino and would like to have the option of making cappuccino with fresh milk instead of a separate milk frother. What I didn't want was such a rubberized transparent straw that automatically adds milk to the coffee, which then turns dirty and is really annoying to clean (which keeps me from making myself a cup of cappuccino). This jug is easy to clean, as is the steam spout (even a small automatic steam cleaning after each use). In addition, I really notice that the milk has a better taste due to steam compared to a whisk. I see the fact that the milk has to be poured in manually as a plus, so you can decide how much you want in it and practice on your latte art
A downside for us is the housing, in the store we noticed that Stainless Steel is more than just a color name. This was the only variant that does not have a plastic housing, which is why we chose this variant. I do not agree with a fully stainless steel housing.
Coffee is of course good (although we prefer Starbucks cups so far), the machine heats up quickly with a good cream layer. We are now mainly discovering which coffees we prefer by means of brewing. different taste tests. :)
