The monitor gives the best of both worlds, the speed and responsiveness of a game monitor, but the functionality, dexterity and "immersiveness" of an ultrawide. Due to the large pixel ratio, a decent graphics card is a must. I myself still use a GTX 1060 6gb, this is not an extremely new and powerful card, but with graphics adjustments I was able to play all games so far. This is also the reason why the 100hz was sufficient for me, my gpu would not do justice to the added value of 144hz. To get 1ms (in my experience) the overdrive has to be on high, but this causes ghosting to occur, on weak and medium I didn't experience any problems.
