After years of working and playing a single monitor again, it was time for a second monitor. My Samsung S24 (god-knows-what) with a wonky 70Hz screen with a response time from here to the Samsung factory in Tokyo, was still fine as a second screen, so I started looking for a new workhorse. Now I basically only buy second chances with these kinds of large purchases. Saves me money, saves you missing out on money :)
Quickly arrived at this MSI G251F. Fast, more than twice as many HERZs and a Displayport connection, since the HDMI slot in my GPU has already been claimed by my old monitor. Installation went smoothly, as expected. Only downsides: the DP cable is a bit on the short side, although my screen is on the left and my PC on the right under my desk, so that's also my own fault. The button icons on the screen, however (input - menu - power button etc.) are actually almost unreadable in any light on the matte finish of the 'frame' of the screen. Nothing dramatic, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
All in all, well worth the price.

It is a very nice monitor with a sharp and clear image. The refresh rate is also nice and high, making everything look smooth. However, the OnDisplayScreen is not very intuitive to use, and has a learning curve. In addition, HDR is supported by this monitor, but I did not see the option to turn it on in Windows 10.
